We empower people and organisations to realise their own vision for a better future – however modest or grand. Our purpose therefore is: Empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and in business.Following this purpose we have defined four simple promises that together form the Customer Promise and are part of our strategy.Clear and easyBanking doesn’t have to be difficult and time consuming. Less is more. It’s all about clear products, plain language, fair prices and simple processes. That saves both time and money.Anytime, anywhereWe work to get our services where our customers are. Banking should be possible anytime and anywhere.EmpowerThe best financial decisions are informed decisions. Customers want relevant, up-to-date information at their fingertips. They need to understand their choices, and the implications, both today and for the future.Keep getting betterLife and business are about moving forward. We will keep looking for new ways to make things better. With new ideas, new solutions and new approaches to make things easier for our customers. That way, we can all stay a step ahead. Our strategy aims to create a differentiating customer experience, enabled by simplifying and streamlining our organisation, further striving for operational excellence, enhancing the performance culture within our company and expanding our lending capabilities. The potential for improvement in these areas varies with our current market positions, which we have divided into Market leaders (Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg), Challengers (Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, France and Australia) and Growth markets (Poland, Turkey, Romania and our business units in Asia). Our focus is on becoming the primary bank for more customers through growing the share of payment accounts with recurrent income and at least one other product with ING in retail banking and with anchor products such as lending and transaction services in wholesale banking. Market leaders are the Benelux countries where we currently have leading market positions in retail banking and wholesale banking services. In Benelux countries our strategy is to grow in selected segments, continue to develop towards a direct-first model, invest in digital leadership and deliver on operational excellence programmes. In Challengers markets we strive to strengthen our market position. Our business units offer both retail and wholesale banking services. Our retail activities are mainly direct banking services delivered online which provide a cost advantage over traditional banks. We plan to invest in our Challenger markets to use our strong savings franchises and expand into payments accounts to build primary banking relationships with customers. We seek to use our direct banking expertise to grow our lending business at low cost in areas like consumer lending and lending to SMEs. We will also seek to grow our corporate client base and develop capabilities in Industry Lending and Transaction Services in most of these countries. In Growth Markets, we offer a full range of retail and wholesale banking services in strongly expanding economies that offer good growth opportunities. We strive to invest to achieve sustainable share and will focus on digital leadership by converging to the direct-first model and prioritising innovation. We are a network bank for our clients across Europe with global reach and we are investing in our business transformation programme, the Wholesale Banking Target Operating Model. We have a number of global franchises. We are targeting continued growth in our client base and in Industry Lending and Transaction Services. Meeting those targets means empowering and challenging our people to create better, challenge convention and do more with less.Of the around £1.3 billion we spend annually on research and development, two-thirds goes towards reducing the environmental impact of our products and services. The results of this are seen everywhere, from the Trent XWB, the world’s most efficient aero engine, to our Bergen B35 marine engine which runs on liquefied natural gas. We’ve also made big gains in reducing our use of resources, implementing our Revert programme to recover, recycle and reuse waste materials from manufacturing operations. Pizza Express

Our passion for Italian food can be traced back to our founder, Peter Boizot and his love affair with Italy. Unhappy with the pizza in London, he shipped over an authentic oven, knocked down a wall to squeeze it in, and opened our very first restaurant on Wardour Street. It was our founder’s early travels that fired his imagination and inspired him to introduce pizza to the UK. Fresh out of university and with his National Service behind him, Peter travelled and worked his way across Europe, through France, Germany and Switzerland, settling eventually in Rome. Not one to shy away from rolling up his sleeves, Peter worked as a reporter for the Associated Press and even sold postcards from a barrow in St. Peter’s Square. It was this entrepreneurial spirit, and his passion for all things Italian that still lie at the heart of what was to become PizzaExpress. On his return to the UK, Peter was shocked to discover that, unlike in Italy, great tasting pizza was nowhere to be found - and that’s how the idea was born. Peter was determined to bring the spirit and taste of an Italian pizzeria to England. He chose vibrant Soho for what was, at the time, a radical venture. And it paid off. As the restaurant opened its doors, everyone from fashionable Londoners to the man in the street flocked to get a slice. Many restaurants later, Peter is still central to PizzaExpress. The care and attention he put into the food and ambiance are still principles that we live by today.

Porsche

As a brand, as a company and as an automotive manufacturer. It has been our guiding star – for more than 65 years. And it covers all the values that characterise our work and our vehicles. It’s no wonder, therefore, that no-one can describe this better than the person who created the very first sports car to bear the Porsche name: Ferdinand Anton Ernst - or Ferry Porsche, for short.Shaping the future of the sportscar – this is the theme of Strategy 2025. At the heart of the strategy is our future product portfolio. The sportscar of the future will blend the history and values of the Porsche brand with innovative technologies, while at the same time ensuring sustainability. In achieving this, topics such as electromobility, digitalisation and connectivity will play an important role. Embracing these topics will allow us to shape the exclusive and sporty mobility of tomorrow. Nevertheless, with all the innovations and modifications in front of us, one thing remains constant: Anything that carries the Porsche crest will also feature the excellent quality that is synonymous with Porsche.

The demands on these helpers have grown – these days it's no longer enough for the refrigerator to chill, the oven to heat and the iron to smooth out creases. There's more to it than that. It's about the changing requirements of our everyday lives, about forward-looking technologies, and about aspects that impact buying decisions such as design and material, and especially about energy efficiency and sustainability. This is exactly where BSH comes in: Our goal is to be so familiar with the needs of consumers that we create innovations that offer tangible benefits for customers and lead the way with our developments. We have therefore introduced a user-centric approach in our product development. In our user experience labs around the globe, consumers test prototypes, think through ideas and provide vital insights into their own wishes and expectations. In collaboration with designers, engineers and sales experts, this gives rise to innovations that invigorate and ensure better quality of life in harmony with the environment. The measure of all things – testing by customers. From the prototype to the finished product - our UX labsWhat looks like an everyday scene is a small insight into our user experience laboratory in Munich. Not only coffee machines are set up here, but also washing machines, dishwashers and many other home appliances. Although the tester is aware of being observed during the unrehearsed operation of the machine, this does not affect their impartiality. Every individual function is put to the test, the tester's gaze is recorded using eye tracking, the user friendliness of the appliance is scrutinized in precise detail, and much more. Important conclusions can thus be drawn regarding products and prototypes, and possibly new user needs identified. The valuable test results are evaluated by product developers, psychologists and marketing experts, and incorporated into development. This produces in home appliances that are easy to operate and meet consumers' wishes and needs.

The way they work is changing and this also influences the skills and talent they need. New, digital HR solutions and tools are disrupting our market by drastically changing the way people connect to jobs and the role we play in this space. Clients and candidates expect to be served anywhere, anytime, and through any device, in a way we never imagined possible before, influencing the way we work. Therefore, Randstad is investing heavily in new technologies, making a giant leap forward into the world of tech. We are acquiring external knowledge and expertise through acquisitions and the Randstad Innovation Fund, and innovating through our Digital Factory. It will enable us to shape our new role and ensure our leading position in an industry becoming predominantly digital and data driven.Where others brace for disruption, we see underlying continuity. Our ongoing journey is not just about digital transformation. While innovative technology will be necessary for connecting clients and candidates in the future, improving our tools is not the end of the story. Offering a seamless digital experience is only the price of entry – what matters most and will have a greater impact than ever before is our unique added value: the human touch we bring to the table. In a fast changing digital world clients and candidates want a trusted human partner. It is here, at the intersection between technology and humanity, where we can distinguish ourselves from our competitors by delivering a true human experience.Where we come from.We know from our heritage that real connections are not made from data and algorithms – they require human involvement. Empathy. Intuition. Instinct. These human qualities have defined Randstad from the very beginning. They express the strong values on which Randstad was founded and which remain relevant today: to know, serve and trust, striving for perfection and the simultaneous promotion of all interests. In knowing more, we can better serve our clients and candidates, delighting them by creating relationships based on trust. This trust is enhanced by continuously striving for perfection, while simultaneously promoting the interests of all our stake-holders and society as a whole. Living by these core values has provided us with a deep knowledge of clients and candidates spanning more than 55 years. With this in-depth understanding of the world of work, we support candidates to realise their true potential and enable employers to sustain their success. Our values ensure that people are always at the heart of our process.Making a meaningful difference. In a world focused on disruptive technologies, our humanity ensures continuity. We know from our heart and history that it is the human side of our business that makes the difference. We know how important a job is in a candidate’s life. And we always have been passionate about supporting people and organisations realise their true potential. That is Randstad’s role in society. Each of us is committed to going above and beyond to make our candidates and clients successful. To achieve this goal we use technology to our advantage. We apply digital innovations to improve our services. To make processes smart, simple, and efficient. To get better insights, based on data.At the same time, we recognise these efficiencies for what they are: a means to an end. A means to free up our people to focus on our most important asset – the personal connection. Creating an HR experience that is more human. One that allows us to ask the right questions. To dive deeper than a resume or a job opening. To understand the heart and soul of a company. To propel our clients and candidates forward. This is the essence of our Tech & Touch strategy. Tech enabling our touch, by empowering our people to change the way we think and work, supported by technology.A trusted human partner.Today, we are in the unique position to redefine the way we connect with our clients and candidates. Becoming the trusted human partner in the technology-driven world of work will lead to even higher appreciation from those we serve. It will provide our clients and candidates the human insight and attention they desire. And, ultimately, it will enable us to maximise future employment and economic growth for society as a whole. By combining our passion for people with the power of today’s technology, we will create an experience that is inherently more human.we call it human forward.

Siemens Gamesa

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was created in April, 2017, with the merger of Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica and Siemens Wind Power. Gamesa’s history is marked by a spirit of innovation and successful expansion into new markets. What started as a small machining workshop in northern Spain quickly grew into a global company focused on industrial facility management, the automotive industry, and new technology development. In 1995, Gamesa expanded into wind power, installing the first wind turbine in the hills of El Perdón, in Spain, and just four years later the company had grown into the leading manufacturer of wind turbines in the country. International expansion quickly followed as the company opened production centers in the U.S., China, India and Brazil. The history of Siemens Wind Power is equally impressive. The company has been directly involved in the wind power industry since 2004, when it acquired the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Bonus Energy. With the acquisition of Bonus, Siemens gained a wealth of technology and proven experience stretching back to 1980. This history includes providing turbines for the world’s first offshore wind farm in Vindeby off the coast of Denmark, in 1991.The company grew into the global market leader for offshore wind turbines, earning a reputation for technological leadership, strong customer service, and for offering fully integrated end-to-end energy solutions.Siemens Gamesa brings these many qualities together under one roof: an innovative spirit, dedication to technological excellence, and a determination to provide real and lasting value to all stakeholders and customers. Today, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is a respected industry leader committed to providing innovative and effective solutions to the energy challenges of tomorrow.

ISL Recruitment

We are an award-winning specialist IT and Engineering recruitment consultancy who do things a little differently…Born out of a desire to challenge stereotypical ‘robotic’ recruitment, ISL was set up by two recruiters in 2007 to offer an alternative to the ‘quantity-over-quality’ ethos of typical consultancies. As our Manifesto explains, we focus on fostering long-term client relationships and understanding your business’ culture and values, rather than call times and CV targets. This means we can afford to focus on finding people who bring you both the skills and experience you require, but also the cultural values and attitudes you look for in a candidate. We don’t try to fit square pegs into round holesRather than trying to deliver a ‘one-size fits all’ approach to IT and engineering recruitment, we tailor our solutions to you as we understand that different businesses face different challenges when hiring the right talent. We recognise that for scale-ups and smaller business’ in particular, finding the right person is often key to the success of a function, a team and in some cases a business.
