Biochemistry is a pretty hard core degree and I might have been better choosing something more general like Biomedical Science at uni, but you can cater the course a little to your liking. I don’t love the practicals but I can see how they are useful. The course sets you up with good interpersonal skills even if you choose to do something different after, like what I may do. You get given loads of PBL cases in the first year and there is a lot of study you have to do on your own, so only pick this course if you like a fair amount of self-learning!! Manchester is a prestigious university though so you know you are being taught by very good teachers. Campus Advisor

Being in London is fantastic. Accommodation is not that great and rooms are pretty small. But then there’s so much to see and I love how busy it is. -Anonymous -

Manchester city has loads going on and two massive football clubs. Food places are good and you’re not far away from the city centre, it’s about a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride. Lots of places to go at night. Liked my course and the lecturers taught well. - Anonymous -
